As the sun sets behind Bonifacio’s cliffs, the harbor is filled with a mix of calm and anticipation. The Channel Sailing Racing Team is still on site, making final preparations for the IRC European Championship, which kicks off tomorrow morning at 10 AM.
Today was all about the finishing touches. Our Italia 9.98 underwent a thorough check, sails were adjusted, and the team reviewed strategy together. The mood is focused yet excited — the moment has arrived.
Tomorrow’s schedule includes two up & downwind races and one coastal race. On Wednesday, two more up & downwind races are planned. But the true highlight of the week is the offshore race “Tour de voile à la Corse,” starting Thursday at 12 PM. We’ll sail all the way around Corsica — a challenge expected to take at least 35 hours of nonstop racing! This long-distance leg will count for 2.5 times the points in the overall championship ranking.

We’ll keep you updated daily with our progress, impressions, and results. Tomorrow, the real action begins — and we’re ready!
