CS’s cancellation terms apply exclusively to its services and are entirely independent of any third parties potentially involved in the overall agreement. The cancellation costs for the client are as follows:
- Up to one month before the event: 0%
- Up to two weeks before the event: 50%
- Up to one week before the event: 75%
- Up to two days before the event: 100% or the total cost
If the client deems the weather conditions unsuitable for the event, the same cancellation scales as above apply. If CS cancels the event or rental due to:
- Unsafe weather conditions (wind, waves, etc.)
- Force majeure (e.g., technical failure, unavailability of the skipper, etc.)
The following arrangements will apply:
- Both parties will first seek an alternative date.
- A voucher valid for one year may be issued.
- An alternative event can be organized.
- Refunds can be agreed upon by mutual consent.
The inability to proceed with a sailing trip for reasons beyond CS’s control does not entitle the client to a refund or compensation. Any cancellation by the client must be communicated in writing (at least via email to info@channelsailing.be).
